The Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is an advisory body
that critically guides and evaluates the development and
orientation of the FVA. The Board makes recommendations on the strategic orientation of the FVA and offers suggestions on
future research topics and research projects. The Board of Trustees
consists of eight members from various disciplines (such as forestry
faculties at universities, research institutes, forestry agencies, forest
owners and the timber industry) that are appointed for a period of
four years. The current members of the Board of Trustees are:
- Prof. Dr. Jürgen Bauhus, Waldbau-Institut der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg
- Forstpräsident Meinrad Joos, Regierungspräsidium Freiburg, Abteilung Forstdirektion
- Prof. Dr. James Kirchner, Eidgenössische Forschungsanstalt für Wald, Schnee und Landschaft, Birmensdorf
- Dr. Monika Konnert, Bayerisches Amt für forstliche Saat- und Pflanzenzucht Teisendorf
- Dr. Harald Mauser, Bundesforschungs- und Ausbildungszentrum für Wald, Naturgefahren und Landschaft, Wien,
Österreich
- Prof. Dr. Bernhard Möhring, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen
- Prof. Dr. Frits Mohren, Universität Wageningen, Niederlande
