Forest enterprise

Forest enterprises are the first pillar of sustainable timber production. The focus is not only on the utilisation of timber, but also on the re-establishment of forest stands and their maintenance until they can be harvested again. But the preservation of the forest as a natural and recreational space is also one of the tasks of forest enterprises. One special feature of the forestry sector is the long production period involved. The rotation periods of different tree species range from 60 to several hundred years. The work of the FVA supports forestry enterprises, allowing them to make long-term decisions based on the latest research results.
