Wildlife and Humans

The “Wildlife and Humans” area of work is particularly concerned with the influences humans have on wildlife in the forest. Sport and recreational activities are a central theme here, with dialogue and exchange between the participants playing a particularly important role. In order to reduce human disturbance of wildlife, the department prepares and communicates solutions designed to make recreational activities wildlife-friendly. The wildlife officers of the municipalities and districts play an important role here, using their specialist knowledge to provide information to local stakeholders and facilitating networking between them.
